International Mother Language Day observed at JU

With the spontaneous participation of stakeholders, Jahangirnagar University observed International Mother Language Day with due dignity and a great homage to the language martyrs.

On Tuesday (February 21), Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Nurul Alam paid tribute by placing a wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar of the University in the early hours. Meanwhile, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Sheikh Md. Monzurul Huq, Treasurer Professor Rasheda Akhtar, Registrar Rahima Kaneez, Proctor A.S.M Feroz-ul-Hasan, and other university administration officials participated.

After that, JU Teachers' Association, Bangabandhu Shikkhak Parishad, JU Press Club, Journalists' Association, Nationalist Teachers-Officers and Employees Forum, various departments and hall administration, JU Branch Chhatra League, and other social, cultural, voluntary, and political organizations paid tribute to the language martyrs. 

They remembered the nation's best children with bare feet and garlands and took an oath to speak out against all injustices.
