The Freshers’ Reception for Fall 2025 was held at the Mohakhali campus of International Standard University (ISU) on 30th October 2025 under the chairmanship of ISU Honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan.
The Member of the Board of Trustees, Engineer Tasmiah Rahman, was present as the special guest.
Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan, Vice-Chancellor of International Standard University (ISU), said students must focus on both education and character building to achieve a successful career.
He urged them to gain knowledge and excel in every field to contribute to their families, the nation, and the world.
Highlighting ISU’s initiatives, he noted that the university is committed to ensuring a student-friendly environment through modern classrooms, laboratories, qualified teachers, and active co-curricular programmes.
Engineer Tasmiah Rahman warmly welcomed the new students to the International Standard University (ISU) family, encouraging them to not only focus on academics but also to understand themselves and the world around them.
She said that university life is a new journey where students will learn new things, explore creativity, and engage in innovation. She urged them to build themselves while contributing to their families and the country, adding that their work, experiences, and beautiful moments in life will one day become their greatest source of inspiration.
ISU Treasurer Professor H.T.M. QuaderNewaz and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Md. Abul Kashem, the Director of IQAC Prof. Dr. Md. Ekramul Hoque, were also present as special guests. Convener of the Organising Committee Professor Mohammad Ali gave a welcome speech at the ceremony.
Mrs MayeshaAfiaJarin, Lecturer, Department of Law and Sk. Shoaib Ahmed, Lecturer, Department of English, anchored the ceremony.
Chairpersons of the different departments, teachers, students, and administrative officers also attended the Freshers’ Reception programme. The programme ended after a wonderful cultural programme organised by the students at ISU campus.
