Jabian Club Limited launched for Jahangirnagar University alumni

Jabian Club Limited, dedicated to graduates of Jahangirnagar University, was officially launched following its inaugural Executive Committee meeting on 5 December 2025, according to a statement.
Founded through the concerted efforts of former students from multiple graduating classes, the Club was formally incorporated with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies (RJSC) on 6 November 2025, after completing all necessary regulatory checks. It is the first organisation of its kind in the history of Jahangirnagar University.
The inaugural Executive Committee meeting was held at the Club’s Dhaka office and chaired by Mr. Mohammad Tahiat Hossain, a retired Additional Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh and an alumnus of the University’s 9th batch.
Dr Fahmida Khatun from the 10th batch (Economics) has been appointed President of the Club (JCL), with Group Captain Abu Hena Md Ameerul Ahsan (Retd) from the 10th batch (English) serving as Secretary General.
During the meeting, members discussed, in festive mood, key agenda items relating to the Club’s future undertakings and operational plans, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
The following founding directors were in attendance: Mohammad Tahiat Hossain, Abu Hena Md Ameerul Ahsan, A Y M Saif Ullah, Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, Elma Afreen, Rokon Siddiqui, A K M Anisul Haque, SM Shohid, Mohammad Taufiqul Islam Mithil, Mohammad Nadir Hossain, Md Monirul Hassan, Abu Saleh Md Mujahedul Islam, Mohammad Abdullahil Alim, Sabrina Chowdhury, Md Basir, Md. Niamul Haque.
Jabian Club Limited aims to foster lasting connections among Jahangirnagar University alumni and support professional, social, sports, cultural, recreational and intellectual initiatives for its members.
