Jagannath University ‘shut down’ until demands met

Jagannath University has been declared shut down until the protesters’ demands are met.

The announcement came during an ongoing sit-in programme at the Kakrail intersection in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

Professor Md Rais Uddin, general secretary of the Jagannath University Teachers Association, made the announcement on behalf of the demonstrators.
