JU held fourth day of admission test, 'A' unit results published

Undergraduate admission examination of the first four shifts of the 'D' unit under the Faculty of Biological Sciences of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the academic year 2022-2023 was held on Wednesday.
Only the female candidates participated in today's test, and the attendance rate was 69 per cent, said Professor Dr Md. Nuhu Alam, Dean of the Faculty.
He said, "This year's admission test is being held in separate shifts for boys and girls. On the first day of the examination of the D unit, all the shifts were completed smoothly. Today the attendance rate of female students is 69 per cent. Tomorrow the examination of male candidates will be held in four shifts."
On Wednesday, the D unit examination started at 9 am and ended at 2:50 pm. The remaining four shifts of the admission test, organised in eight shifts, will start today at 9 am and will continue till 2:50 pm.
Meanwhile, the 'A' unit examination results of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) held on Tuesday were published. The pass rate in the exam is 62 per cent.
Against 446 seats in this unit, 61,864 applicants applied, about 45 thousand students participated, and 28,793 passed. Dean of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Professor Dr Farid Ahmed, confirmed the information.
This unit has 223 seats allotted for males and females each. The result reveals a waiting list of nine times the total seats.
