‘Mom-preneur’ to start on March 10 at DIU

Mom-preneur, a specialised programme to empower mothers and help them become entrepreneurs, is going to start from March 10, 2019 at the Daffodil University premises.

Daffodil International University (DIU) and Daffodil International School, in collaboration with Bangladesh Skill Development Institute, will organise the event.

Mustafa Jabbar, Minister, Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh will inaugurate the initiative through a training event while Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family will preside over the programme.

In a 15-day intensive training session, the participants will receive training in different skills, including basic computing, photoshop illustrator, graphics design, basic knowledge on f-commerce and e-commerce, soft skills and basic knowledge on internet security.

After the completion of the training session, the participants will get free consultancy for implementing their ideas, according to a media release received today (Monday).

The announcement came at a press conference held Sunday at the National Press Club in city.

Speakers at the conference said the specialised programme, first ever of its kinds in Bangladesh, has been planned to help the mothers explore their skills and time in a productive way so that they can become self dependent, contribute in their family and national economy.

Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family, highlighted the details of the event at the press conference.
