NSU professor presents research findings on Climate Smart Agriculture

North South University Professor Md Jakariya has recently given a presentation on Climate Smart Agriculture on behalf of the university at the 34th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
The meeting was held on 27th February last at the Department of Environment (DoE), says a press release received on Saturday.
Mr Saber Hossain Chowdhury, MP and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry on Environment, Forest and Climate Change presided over the meeting along with the distinguished ministers and deputy ministers.
The research findings of the project ‘Assessment of the effectiveness of Climate Smart Agriculture in Bangladesh’ were presented at the meeting. Some of the recommendations of the research were highly appreciated by the Members of the Parliament, with the possibility of inclusion in the national agriculture policy of Bangladesh.
