NSU to award degrees to over 8,000 graduates at 25th convocation on Saturday

North South University (NSU) is set to hold its 25th convocation on Saturday at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal, Dhaka, says a media release.

The ceremony, presided over by Education Adviser Prof. Wahiduddin Mahmud, will witness over 8,000 graduates receiving their degrees. On behalf of President Mohammed Shahabuddin, the chancellor of all universities in Bangladesh, Prof Mahmud will confer the degrees to the graduates.

Additionally, 20 outstanding students will be honoured with Chancellor's Gold Medals and Vice Chancellor's Gold Medals.

The event will feature a convocation address by Gwyn Lewis, the UN Resident Coordinator for Bangladesh, and opening remarks by Prof. Md Mamun Molla, Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Physics.

Azim Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the NSU Board of Trustees, will congratulate the graduates, while NSU Vice-Chancellor Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury and other distinguished guests will also be present to mark the occasion.
