Power of Model United Nations: Unleashing students' potential

In the MUN arena of Bangladesh, Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) has become a  renowned platform dedicated to simulating the United Nations experience. DUNMUN 2022, for instance, explored the theme  'Endorsing Freedom through Consolidating Unified Effort towards Global Consonance'. Participants delved into topics such as climate change, poverty eradication, and technological advancements, gaining valuable insights into sustainable development. Raihana Sultana, a participant from DUNMUN 2022 said, " DUNMUN changed my ideas, views. It was really fun and refreshing to be a part of this amazing experience.  This will be memorable for me for my whole life."

The forthcoming Dhaka University National Model United Nations (DUNMUN), slated to take place from July 17 to July 22, has been announced by the Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA). This conference, themed "Towards Equitable Governance: Embracing Data-Driven Transformation for an Inclusive World" intends to generate discourse on urgent global challenges and inspire data-driven approaches to inclusive government. It emphasises the need to leverage data and technology to inform decision-making so marginalised voices are heard and resources are distributed equitably.

Model United Nations offers a transformative experience for students, equipping them with vital skills and knowledge to navigate an increasingly complex world. DUMUNA, with its flagship event DUNMUN, has played a pivotal role in fostering global awareness, diplomacy, and leadership among young individuals in Bangladesh.
