The Rajshahi University (RU) admission tests for the 2025-26 academic year will be conducted according to the shortened syllabus followed in the recent Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, university officials confirmed on Thursday.
Professor Dr. Abu Sadeq Md. Kamruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, clarified that this year's admission tests would follow the same shortened syllabus used for the HSC exams across all education boards. "This is a regular practice, as it has been every year," he added.
The university's admission tests will begin with the 'C' unit (Science) on January 16, followed by the 'A' unit (Arts) on January 17, and the 'B' unit (Commerce) on January 24, 2026.
For the first time, there will be no pre-selection process before the tests. Each unit's exam will be held in two shifts: the first from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the second from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The tests will be conducted at public university campuses across six divisions: Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, and Barishal.
The application fees are set at Tk 1,320 for the 'A' (Arts) and 'C' (Science) units, and Tk 1,100 for the 'B' (Commerce) unit, with a 10 pre cent service charge included.
The one-hour multiple-choice question (MCQ) test will carry a total of 100 marks, with 80 questions per unit.
