Seminar on stress management in daily life

North South University MBA Club and North South University Public Health & Sciences Club jointly organised a seminar on ‘Effective Ways of Stress Management for Corporate Professionals’ at the university campus recently. The seminar aimed to help attendees to learn practical techniques to manage stress in their daily life and workplace and to improve their overall well-being.

The seminar started with the  speech of Dr FJ Mohaimen, faculty advisor of North South University MBA Club. Then, the further sessions were preceded with the speech of the guests, M Rezaul Hassan, founder and group CEO of REVE System, and Dr Helal Uddin Ahmed, associate professor of Child Adolescent and Family Psychiatry, National Institute of Mental Health.

Both guests shared their extensive experience in managing stress and provided valuable strategies to cope with daily life stress. They explained how stress is not always unacceptable, rather it is part of our daily life. They shared how to identify the causes of stress and how to deal with them. There was also a short meditation session and a question-answer session. At the end, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NSU, Dr Md Ismail Hossain shared his words and Dr Azaz Bin Sharif, faculty advisor of North South University Public Health and Sciences Club presented the vote of thanks. The seminar ended with a crest giving session and a photo session.

 NSU MBA Club President Farita Binte Hassan quoted, "NSU MBA Club is a platform for graduate students for networking, skill development, professional advancement and so on. We hope to organise more events like this in the future to address the  professional and extracurricular needs of graduate students."

The seminar was well-attended, with over 200 students, faculties, and administrative personnel from North South University present.  Chairman of the Public Health Department Dr Mohammad Delwer Hossain Hawlader was also present at the seminar. 

The NSU MBA Club and NSU Public Health & Sciences Club will plan to organise more events like this in future to support the wellbeing of corporate professionals in the community.
