Bangladesh to be in focus at 2020 Int’l Kolkata Book Fair

Bangladesh will be the focal theme of the 2020 International Kolkata Book Fair (IKBF) to mark fifty years of the country's liberation war.

The IKBF and Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Toufique Hasan organised a special session about ‘Liberation war in Bangladesh literature’ to celebrate 'Bangladesh Dibas' at the International Kolkata Book Fair 2018 yesterday (Saturday).

Every year IKBF celebrates a day as 'Bangladesh Dibas', reports uniindia.com.

Cultural Affairs Minister of Bangladesh Asaduzzaman Noor, Bangla Academy Literary Awardee Muntassir Mamoon, Bangla Academy Literary Awardee author Imdadul Haq Milon, director general of Bangla Academy, Bangladesh, Shamsuzzaman Khan, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki along with general secretary of the Publishers and Booksellers Guild Tridib Chatterjee were present on the occasion.
