Radio Today FM 89.6 has been named as the Superbrands of Bangladesh for 2018-2020 for the second consecutive time.

Along with 29 other brands from different industries, the country's first FM radio received the award during a ceremony at a five-star hotel on Saturday, says a press release.

Superbrands, the UK-based global independent organisation, started its journey in 1994 in London to promote the discipline of branding.

It has launched programmes with approximately 17,000 major brands through 400 separate publications in more than 90 countries including all the key global markets.

Superbrands recognised the FM radio station after assessing many aspects; including a survey on audiences, coverage area, quality of programme, digital activities, social responsibilities etc.

Managing Director of the Radio Today FM 89.6, Rafiqul Haque, expressed gratitude to the audience after getting the recognition.

He said, Radio Today will broadcast quality programmes for its audiences in the coming days.

Radio Today's MD Rafiqul Haque, General Manager (finance) Shoyebul Haque Jamil, head of sales and marketing Bulbul Hossain, head of programme development Tutul Zahirul Islam, head producer Fakhrul Shawon, some radio jockeys and digital team members were present at the award giving ceremony.

Earlier, the Superbrands held similar award giving ceremony in 2009 and Radio Today was named as the winner in the year.
