The Man From Toronto: Another hyped Netflix movie ends in disappointment

Any movie starring Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson and Kaleo Cuoco is supposed to be a hit.

But 'The Man from Toronto,' despite having all these heavyweights, disappointed the viewers. However, with overwhelmingly negative reviews, the action comedy which was released recently on the OTT platform Netflix is one of the most viewed movies on Netflix Bangladesh in the past one month.

The plot of the movie revolves around Kevin Hart's character Teddy, an athletic instructor who plies his trade online. He through a turn of events gets to meet a mysterious man from Toronto, who is Harrelson's character and is an assassin. After that, the pair gets into various mishaps and the story unfolds.

The movie has a dry and boring undertone, which is exactly the opposite of what it is supposed to be. It’s as if the directors and producers are trying to make the audience laugh through some cheesy scenes and conversations, which unsurprisingly comes off as quite unfunny.

Kevin Hart, despite always succeeding in being funny, has failed miserably in this particular movie.

Although the movie did quite well in terms of cinematography, the overall sequence of the storyline seems quite out of place as well. The movie was also supposed to have a thriller-esque element, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype in this particular field as well.

The movie's greatest strength is the star-studded casting, but in most other aspects, it has failed.

Watching this movie might be a good way to kill your time if you have nothing much to do and want to go through a light movie which doesn’t involve going much deep into the plotline.

But if you are looking for a good comedy movie with genuinely humorous elements, you will be disappointed.
