Climate Justice Assembly to be held in Dhaka on Dec 13-14

Organisers of the Climate Justice Assembly, scheduled for Dec 13-14, briefed reporters at a press conference at the National Press Club in Dhaka.

They talked about the main modalities of the two-day event and answered questions from journalists.

Among those who spoke were Md Shamsuddoha, chief executive of the Center for Participatory Research and Development (CRPD); Prof Dr Mohammad Jahirul Hoque, vice-chancellor of Metropolitan University, Sylhet; and Sharif Jamil, executive director of Blue Planet Initiative.

The assembly will be held at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in Dhaka, the organisers said.

Academic scholars, environmentalists, senior government officials, foreign delegates, students, climate scientists and media professionals are expected to attend.
