Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast heavy to heavy falls at places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet in next 24 hours commencing 9:00 am on Thursday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” according met office updates.
Meanwhile, the low pressure area over westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coast now lies over South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh Coasts and adjoining areas of northwest-westcentral Bay of Bengal at 6:00 am on Friday.
The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, the centre of the Low to Assam across Southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
