Light to moderate rain likely in parts of country

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind, is likely to occur at many places in the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 am on Thursday.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin, reports BSS.

Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, the met office predicted.

On Wednesday, the highest temperature recorded was 36.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, while the lowest temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
