Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted rains at several places in eight divisions of the country including Dhaka in 24 hours commencing 9:00 am on Wednesday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin, UNB reports.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal to North Bay across Southwestern part of Bangladesh.
Country’s highest temperature was recorded at 37.0 degrees Celsius in Jashore district on Tuesday.
