As many as 724 diarrhoea patients were admitted to the icddr,b, an international health research institute in Dhaka, in the 14 hours t0 2:00pm on Monday.
AKM Tariful Islam Khan, media manager, icddr,b confirmed this to The FE.
The hospital is witnessing huge pressure as diarrhoea patients continue to get admitted, he said.
On-duty physicians, nurses and health staff are also struggling to deal with patients, Mr Tariful stated.
Earlier on Sunday, 1,230 diarrhea patients got admitted to the icddr,b, 1,245 on Saturday and 1,138 on Friday.
