Since Mar 15, a total of 3,776 people have been hospitalised for measles-like symptoms, of whom 2,527 have been discharged after treatment, while 99 with symptoms died.

Of them, nine were diagnosed with the disease.

Since Mar 15, 5,792 people exhibiting measles symptoms have sought hospital care nationwide.

The DGHS said five previously reported deaths from confirmed measles cases were removed due to inaccurate district-level reporting.

Corrections: Three from Brahmanbaria, one each from Lakshmipur and Chandpur, were excluded.

Additions: One confirmed measles death from Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital was added to the updated fatality list.
