Hospitals need 40,000 bags of saline every day for dengue patients
The health minister says the government decides to import oral saline to tackle situation

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said hospitals in Bangladesh currently need around 40,000 bags of oral saline every day for dengue patients amid a surge in the number of patients.
The minister informed the media that the government has decided to import saline as the saline manufacturing companies do not have the capacity to meet the monthly demand of 1.2 million bags of saline, according to local news portals.
During a visit to the dengue unit at a hospital in Manikganj on Saturday, he also stressed on eradication of the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquito.
