The 'National Sanitation Month October-2018' was inaugurated at the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) auditorium in the capital on Wednesday, aimed at achieving hundred per cent hygienic sanitation across the country.
The theme of this year's sanitation month is-'Sustainable Development and Hygienic Sanitation'.
Senior Secretary Dr Zafor Ahmed Khan of Local Government Department (LGD) inaugurated the programme as the chief guest while additional secretary Roksana Kader presided over the programme, reports UNB.
Edourad Beigbeder, representative of UNICEF in Bangladesh, Dr MdKhairul Islam, country director of Water Aid Bangladesh, were also present at special guests.
