NeoSTAR Innovation launches ‘Coronake Korobo Joy’ in Cox’s Bazar

An awareness campaign titled ‘Coronake Korobo Joy’ was held at Shilkhali High School under Pekua upazila of Cox's Bazar on Friday.

NeoSTAR Innovation under its e-health programme launched the initiative, aimed at raising awareness among people about the highly infectious disease.

Global consumer goods giant Unilever and the country’s top pharmaceutical company Square Pharmaceutical are facilitating the initiative. Bastob, a non-government organisation, also provides support to run the campaign in different parts of the country.

During the campaign, Unilever Bangladesh showed common people the effective ways to clean their hands and Square Pharmaceutical facilitated health awareness and tele-consultation sessions. Besides, these two companies also distributed hygiene products among 300 participants. 

Dr Atiur Rahman, former governor of Bangladesh Bank, shared his views as a guest speaker in the inaugural event. Dr Md Muniruzzaman, Respiratory Medicine and Child specialist, talked on COVID-19 pandemic and investigated patients through tele-consultation.

Ruhi Das, Executive Director, Bastob, and Edward Apurba Singha, CEO, NeoSTAR Innovation, among others, also spoke on the occasion, according to a statement.
