United Hospital Limited recently launched ‘United Child Care Centre’ with an aim to provide comprehensive healthcare services to children and adolescents.
The centre was inaugurated at a programme on last Thursday to mark the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day, celebrated on last Friday.
The new centre will provide pediatric services including pediatric neurology service, pediatric surgery and neonatology in one location, offering a comprehensive solution for children's healthcare needs, said a press release.
Along with physical ailments, the pediatricians at the centre will ensure early detection and management of emotional and developmental issues to the well-being of children and adolescents, the release said.
During the inauguration programme, Chairman and Managing Director of United Group Moinuddin Hasan Rashid informed that a team consisting of experienced pediatricians will work together to provide the best possible care to young patients.
Dr Md Mijanur Rahman, Ex-Chairman (Paediatric Neurology, BSMMU), was present as the chief guest at the event.
Md Faizur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of United Hospital Limited; Senior Consultants of the hospital Prof Dr Md Salim Shakur, Prof Dr Md Delwar Hossain, Dr Md Moshiur Rahman, Dr Ashraf A Sheikh, Dr Nargis Ara Begum, Prof Dr Brig Gen (Retd) Anjuman Ara Beauty; Consultant of Paediatrics department of United Hospital Dr Nazmul Haque and head of different administrative departments were also present at the inaugural programme.
