Amid the continuing reshuffling of personnel after the fall of the previous government, 15 new officers have been put in charge of Dhaka police stations.
Under an order from Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Mainul Hasan, 15 police inspectors were appointed to the positions on Thursday.
So far, 28 new officers-in-charge have been appointed to DMP police stations.
The DMP commissioner had previously appointed 13 others to the post in two separate orders.
The new order states that Mohammad Sajedul Islam is appointed as OC to Turag Police Station, AKM Shahabuddin Shaheen to Shahbagh Police Station, Md Sajjad Hossain to New Market Police Station, Md Mohsin Hossein to Sutrapur Police Station, Kaishanu to Lalbagh Police Station, Mohammad Ataur Rahman Akondo to Rampura Police Station and Sohrab Mia to Mugda Police Station.
In addition, Md Mofizur Rahman is the new OC at Kadamtali Police Station, Md Mainur Islam at Jatrabari Police Station, Md Shafiqul Islam at Shyampur Polie Station, AKM Mamunur Rashid at Shah Ali Police Station, Rakib Ul Hossain at Darussalam Police Station, Mahfuz Imtiaz Bhuiyan at Adabor Police Station and Mohammad Golam Mostafa at Mohammadpur Police Station.
Police Headquarters removed the OCs from all DMP police stations in two phases on Aug 13 and Aug 18.
First 18 and then 32 OCs were sent to training centres at different places across the country. Some were appointed to the Tourist Police, the Armed Police Battalion, or Industrial Police.
