The Public Service Commission (PSC) has provisionally nominated 4,136 candidates from the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service examination for non-cadre positions.
In a notification on Thursday, the commission said the nominations were made for vacant posts ranging from 9th to 11th grade.
The selections were based on merit and the candidates' preferred choices.
This announcement follows the gazette notification issued on Feb 5 announcing appointments of 1,490 candidates to cadre services under the same BCS batch.
The final results for the 44th BCS were published for a third time on Nov 11, recommending 1,676 candidates for cadre positions after addressing previous "technical errors".
Initially, results released on Jun 30 had recommended 1,690 candidates, but 303 candidates declined to join as they did not get their preferred cadre.
A supplementary result issued on Nov 6 was also later revised due to discrepancies.
The notification for the 44th BCS was originally published on Nov 30, 2021, seeking to recruit 1,710 officers across different cadres.
Viva voce exams, which began in Apr 2024, were suspended twice.
