A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Fry in Greece, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The tremors were felt as far as Cairo, Egypt, as well as in Israel, Lebanon, and Jordan, according to global media reports.
The epicenter, with a depth of 78.4 km, was initially determined to be at 35.28 degrees north latitude and 26.94 degrees east longitude.
