A court has granted bail to former state minister for home affairs in a murder case filed against him for killing former Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria.
Sylhet’a Speedy Trial Tribunal judge Swapan Kumar Sarkar passed the order on Wednesday (September 11), according to local media
Former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria was killed in a grenade attack at a public meeting in Baidyer Bazaar of Habiganj Sadar Upazila on January 27, 2005.
A case was filed against Lutfuzzaman Babar, former mayor of Sylhet City Ariful Haque Chowdhury, and several central leaders of BNP following the incident.
