BNP initiates process to take Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment

BNP has initiated the process to take its chairperson Khaleda Zia abroad for a liver transplant and some other critical treatment.

Party insiders told local news portals that the former prime minister would be taken to the US or UK through air ambulance after getting consent from the medical board.

BNP standing committee member AZM Zahid Hossain, who is the coordinator of the medical board and Khaleda Zia’s personal physician, said they have communicated with some hospitals in the US and UK.

Besides, the party is trying to bring an air ambulance from Qatar.
