Social Welfare Minister Dipu Moni’s residence in Chandpur has been attacked during a non-cooperation movement demanding the government's resignation.
Witnesses said BNP and Jamaat activists allegedly gathered outside her residence in Chandpur's New Market area around 2pm on Sunday and launched the attack, according to bdnews24.com.
The ground floor of the building houses the office of the Daily Chandpur Barta.
Shahid Patwary, its acting editor, said the BNP-Jamaat activists vandalised several motorcycles and building pipes on the ground floor.
Patwary also said they attacked the Daily Chandpur Barta office, breaking the window panes.
At the time of the incident, Dipu Moni was in Dhaka, but her relatives were at home, party workers said.
