A DNA test conducted on the remains exhumed from a grave in Savar has matched the family of BNP leader Abul Harris Chowdhury.
After getting the DNA test report, the High Court on Wednesday permitted the family of Haris Chowdhury to bury his remains in a graveyard of their choice.
Harris Chowdhury was buried under the name Mahmudur Rahman in a madrasa graveyard in Savar on September 4 in 2021. His body was exhumed on 16 October this year following a High Court order.
