EC publishes draft list of voters

The election commission published the draft list of voters of Bangladesh at a press conference at the commission’s headquarters in Dhaka on Thursday morning.

As per the list, there are 123,683,512 voters in the country and, among them, 183,3352 are newly-registered voters. The commission will begin modification of the draft list on January 20. The final list of voters will be published on March 2.

Following the finalisation of the updated voter list, the EC led by AMM Nasir Uddin has also decided to go door-to-door to collect registration information in order to include other voters who have been excluded or left off the list.
