Eid al-Adha: National moon-sighting committee to convene on Friday

The National Moon-Sighting Committee will hold a meeting on Friday at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque conference hall to determine the date of Eid-ul-Azha.

The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office at 7:15 pm.

Religious Affairs Minister Mohammad Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting, according to local media reports.

People are requested to report to contact the deputy commissioner or Upazila Nirbahi Officer of their area if they sight the moon anywhere in the skies of Bangladesh.
