Forbes lists Sheikh Hasina 46th most powerful woman

Forbes, an influential American business magazine, has listed Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the 46th most powerful woman of 2023 on its latest annual list.

The latest edition of the list, The World’s Most Powerful Women of 2023, was released at 6:30 am on December 5, 2023 (USA time).

On the profile of Sheikh Hasina, the magazine wrote, “Sheikh Hasina Wajed, the longest-serving prime minister in the history of Bangladesh, is currently serving her fourth term. She is also the world's longest-serving female head of government.”

“She won the fourth term, which is also her third consecutive term, after her party, Bangladesh Awami League, won 288 of the 300 parliamentary seats.”

Last year, the longest-serving prime minister of Bangladesh was ranked 42nd on the list.
