Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Mokhlesur Rahman has said all of the employees of the government will get a dearness allowance.
The senior secretary gave the information at a press conference on the report of the Dearness Allowance and Deprivation Elimination Committee at the secretariat on Sunday morning, reports UNB.
“Employees on post-retirement leave will also be entitled to this allowance, marking a significant extension of the benefit,” he said.
Rahman further explained that the Finance Department has already constituted a committee to decide the percentage of the dearness allowance that will be provided to government employees.
The committee is expected to finalise the details soon.
Regarding percentage, he said that the committee will recommend the percentage to be given.
