During summertime, our skincare routine becomes tough to manage. Those who sweat more in the summer due to excess humidity find it hard to manage a good skincare routine with long steps. They tend to skip the steps to avoid sweating too. But if you do so, then your skin’s condition can deteriorate.
First, you need to know your skin type. It may be oily, dry, or a combination. Whatever your skin type is, you need to follow a skincare routine according to your type. This part is very important to follow.
In some cases, a person with dry skin may not even suit some of the products suitable for any other dry skin type. This is very normal because not everyone’s skin condition is the same.
You need to keep in mind that sensitive issues of your skin, acne, pimple, rashes, redness, etc., are not skin type rather, they are skin issues or conditions. You must also keep your skin condition in mind and treat it. Our skin’s requirement changes with the change of seasons.
In summer, our skin needs more hydration than moisturisation. Especially people with oily skin types need to be more careful while selecting products.
Dry skin: If you have a dry skin type, use a light moisturiser to avoid excess sweating. Also, use the products in a lesser amount because less is more in summer. First, you need to wash your face with a deep cleanser. Then you can apply a suitable lightweight serum or avoid the application of serum in the daytime.
After that, let your skin absorb the serum. Apply a light or gel-based moisturiser. Instead of moisturiser, you can switch to day and night cream as day cream has SPF, and you do not need to apply sunscreen if you want to skip it.
Oily Skin: Oily skin type people suffer most in this season. After cleaning the face with a good cleanser, they need to use a gel-based moisturiser. You can skip the application of serum in the daytime to avoid excess sweating.
Sunscreen is a must. Try to use a gel-based sunscreen. You can simply succinct these steps with a day cream that has SPF and is suitable for oily skin types.
Combination: You can follow the steps for oily skin types because a combination skin type feels less dry due to excess humidity. If you want to stay safe, apply a hydrating serum after washing your face.
Apply a gel-based day cream, or switch to a gel-based sunscreen. This will ensure hydration and sun protection for your skin.
Clean your face twice a day with a good cleanser. Whenever you feel like you are sweating a lot, wash your face with clean water and apply the cream or sunscreen according to your skin type.
