Midnight clash between DU, Dhaka College students leaves several injured

A clash broke out between students of Dhaka University (DU) and Dhaka College around midnight, leaving several people, including journalists, injured.
The incident occurred around 1:00 am on Monday (October 13), when students from both sides engaged in chase and counter-chase and threw brick chips at each other.
To bring the situation under control, several student leaders, including DUCSU VP Shadik Kayem, along with law enforcement personnel, rushed to the spot and tried to calm the situation.
According to police, the altercation began over setting up makeshift shops on the footpath in front of Shahnewaz Hall at Dhaka University. The dispute soon escalated into a clash between DU and Dhaka College students.
Law enforcement officials arrived promptly and dispersed both groups.
Additional police forces have since been deployed in the area to maintain order.
