Mohammad Ali Khokon has been re-elected president of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) for the terms of 2023-2024 and 2024-25.
Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Faizur Rahman Bhuiyan and Saleud Zaman Khan have been elected vice presidents of the BTMA, according to a statement.
The election results for the board of directors and office bearers of the BTMA were declared by its election board chairman, Abul Bashar, following the election at the BTMA's office at Kawran Bazaar on Sunday.
Mr Khokon is the chairman of Maksons Group. Maksons Spinning Mills and Metro Spinning are operating under the group, added the statement.
Mr Haque is the owner of Ahmmed Group. Ishraq Spinning Mills Ltd, Sajib Fashion Wear Ltd, Ishraq Cotton Mills Ltd and Ishraq Textile Mills Ltd are doing business under the group.
Mr Bhuiyan is the chairman and managing director of Jaj Bhuiyan Group.
Mr Khan is the chairman and managing director of NZ Group that runs denim, textile, apparel, spinning and fabric mills.
The other elected directors of BTMA are Md Mosharaf Hossain, Md Monir Hossain, Syed Enayet Kabir, M Solaiman, Md Khorshed Alam, Md Masud Rana, Rajib Haider, Ishtehaq Ahmed Saikat, Monalisa Mannan, BM Shoaib, Shahid Alam, Azizur R Chowdhury, Ahmed Shahriar Rahman, Habibur Rahman, Abdullal al Mamun, Syed Nurul Islam, Nur E Yeasmin Fatima, Anaf Aziz, Md Kamrul Hasan, Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, Md Azhar Khan, Matiur Rahman and Rashedul Hasan Rintu.
