Reports of new residential gas connections are false: Titas

The state-owned Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company has announced that the news, spreading on social media, regarding new or increased load gas connections for residential buildings are completely false and baseless.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Titas authority confirmed the information, according to media reports.

The new gas connections or increased load connections for residential houses are remain suspended as per government decision, Titas said in the statement.

Any reports in the media or social media suggesting otherwise are entirely rumors and without any foundation, it added.

Titus warned that some fraudsters are misleading the public, and urged everyone to remain cautious. The company also requested to contact the gas distribution company if necessary.
