Actress and former president of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh, Shomi Kaiser, has secured a three-month interim bail from the High Court in an attempt to murder case.
A High Court bench, comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain, granted the bail on Tuesday following a hearing on a petition submitted on behalf of Shomi Kaiser, according to local news portals.
Shomi Kaiser was arrested from the Uttara area in Dhaka on November 6. She is an accused in the case filed over an attempt to murder a businessman during the protests led by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
