Southeast Bank Managing Director Sadeque Hossain resigns

Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain has resigned as the managing director (MD) of Southeast Bank Limited, citing health ground.

He submitted his resignation to the bank’s chairman on Monday (July 28), according to a source.

Earlier, on May 4 this year, the bank’s board of directors had placed Mr Hossain on a three-month forced leave, which was scheduled to end on August 4.

Additional Managing Director Abidur Rahman Chowdhury has been serving as the acting managing director for this period.

Mr Hossain was appointed managing director of the bank on April 5, 2023. Prior to that, he served as the bank’s deputy managing director (DMD).
