Two people were killed and another was injured in a collision between a motorbike and a truck on 300-ft Road under Khilkhet Police Station in Dhaka city early Friday.
Of the dead, one could be identified, while the other couldn't be identified.
The identified deceased victim was Md Sajeeb Hossain, 35, son of Nabab Miah, from Nawab Katara under the city's Bangshal Police Station.
The injured victim was Deen Mohammad, 35, son of Motaher Hossain of Sadar upazila in Faridpur. He lived in the Jinjira area of Dhaka’s Keraniganj.
Khilkhet Police Station’s Sub-Inspector Hafizur Rahman said the accident happened around 3:45 am when the bike carrying the trio and the truck collided on the 300-ft Road, one dead on the spot and two others critically injured.
Soon the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at 7:00 am, he said, quoting the physicians.
Injured Deen was undergoing treatment, he added.
