Role: Chemist

Job Responsibilities:     

• To plan and execute the design and development activities of Adhesive and Textile products.
• To evaluate and implement a Product Quality Management system to ensure quality products as per set specifications.
• To evaluate the raw materials, packaging materials, process samples, and finished products of all Emulsion, Adhesive and Textile products.
• To analyze the shelf life of expired and slow/non-moving raw materials, deviated production batches, and accidentally damaged products, and execute consumption by providing use-up/re-process instruction with Management.
• To review the product specification, raw materials specification, test method, material safety data sheet, and technical data sheet of Adhesive and Textile Chemicals.
• To plan and implement scale-up/trial production of newly developed Adhesive and Textile products for process validation and product standardization by communicating with cross-functional departments.
• To monitor storage conditions of hazardous materials: Monomers, crosslinking agents, etc.
• To monitor the cleaning and sanitization process of all products of the Emulsion plant.
• To evaluate and analyze any deviation in product/ process and investigate the causes linked to analysis methodology, production process, and raw materials to provide creative solutions.
• Ensure the operation, calibration, and standardization of all measuring and test instruments of the Emulsion lab and production unit as per ISO 9001.
• To review and evaluate all required Standards and documents as per ISO norms. Manage and preserve the documents of project works by following the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 27001.

Requirements:

• M.Sc in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry from a well-reputed university.
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in the design and development of Adhesive and Textile Chemicals or Quality Assurance activities.
• Knowledge of different types of Adhesives (Water and Solvent-borne borne) or Textile Chemicals (Binder, Pigment dispersion, White Paste) will be an added advantage.
