Role: Manager (Tax)
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring complete compliance with tax regulations across the company.
- Ensuring reduction in effective tax rate through tax planning and implementation.
- Creating effective partnerships with tax officials and related stakeholders.
- Ensuring timely submission of all statutory returns.
- Maintaining regular communication and liaison with concerned tax officials and proactively managing tax issues from the initial stages.
- Computing annual income tax with accuracy and utilizing opportunities for tax savings.
- Reporting tax-related issues to regional stakeholders.
- Educating and training internal stakeholders on new regulations and staying informed about any relevant changes.
- Maintaining and providing supporting documents to tax authorities during tax and VAT audits.
- Ensuring proper reconciliation between source documents and GL balances for tax and VAT-related accounts.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate degree in business studies. Any professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years experience in VAT/Tax related issues.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Strong analytical ability.
