Role: Senior Officer in IT Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support to SR Shipping office premises
- Provide system support and general configuration of various software
- Installation of various OS onboard Ship as per demand.
- Network fault handling by monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems, and outages of Communication with follow-up.
- Ensure active tracking and recording for all movement of IT assets.
- Overall Managing, Controlling, and Evaluating the IT and Computer systems of all Ships.
- Need to liaison with hardware and software providers as necessary.
- Develop and implement software development processes, methodologies, procedures, and group policy control.
- Need to report to the top management on IT Issues of Vessels and their rectification status.
- Ensure group policy control if decided by management.
- Ensure Email setup with new/existing users for Office365 or Microsoft Exchange.
- Microsoft ADMIN panel configures and maintains collaboration with service providers.
- LAN, Access Control, IP Phone, manage/administration.
- Upgrade/fix IT hardware devices in collaboration with the IT team as necessary.
- Customised software analytics.
- Hardware troubleshooting of PC and related issues.
- Documentation work for IT stores and inventory.
- Any other tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Engineering.
- Experience Requirements: At least 2 years (s).
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirements
- Age 18 to 35 years.
- Should know about hardware support with basic knowledge of Computer Networks and Systems, Assembling, and Troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of email client tools, and providing IT support to end-user devices.
- Able to work outside the office and attend ship at outer anchorage Chattogram seaport as necessary.
- The mentality to work late hours as necessary.
- Work well under pressure.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
- Good communication skills.
