Role: Merchandiser
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow up all kinds of sample developments and production with a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Chasing buyers for proto/development comments.
- Assisting the SCM team to source trims/accessories as per required standards.
- Taking trims and accessories approval from customers.
- Communicating with factories on lab dip, yarn, knitting, and proto submission based on set timelines.
- Arranging PP sample accessories and proceeding with the PP sample according to the comments.
- Booking yarn, accessories and fabric.
- Follow up with the suppliers to in-house trims and accessories as per the TNA plan.
- Follow-up production as per approved T and A.
- Ensuring smooth communication with buyers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approval.
- Arrange and participate in PP meetings.
- Initial Costing.
- Attending weekly meetings with the team and cross-functional team.
- Regular communication with clients over email and phone to be in good touch with customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering.
- Bangladesh University of Textiles, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Daffodil International University, and BGMEA University of Fashion Technology students will get preference.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years.
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments.
Additional Requirements:
- Age at least 28 years.
- Must have deep knowledge of all kinds of knit fabrics and accessories.
- Well-versed in monitoring the knit Garments production.
- Strong knowledge of yarn, fabric, garments, washing, printing, and embroidery.
- Good product knowledge and sourcing process skills are a requisite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Result-oriented and self-driven with a strong focus on deadlines.
Job Location: Gazipur (Tongi).
Salary: Negotiable.
