The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Program 2024 offers comprehensive financial support to international students.
Overview: The Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme originated in 2015, commemorating Lord Weidenfeld's 95th birthday through generous contributions from various donors. In June 2017, André Hoffmann, Trustee and Chairman, added £9 million to the Trust, effectively doubling the size of the program through matched funding from Oxford University.
These scholarships are integral to the Oxford Graduate Scholarships, established through a pioneering matched funding initiative. This initiative aimed to provide fully-funded scholarships for exceptionally talented graduate students globally. The University contributes 40% of the funds, while the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, including Fondation Hoffmann, contributes the remaining 60%.
Part of these scholarships, the Leadership Programme, offers scholars a unique experience involving philosophical discussions, business skill acquisition, and communication training within a supportive community. Additional information can be found on the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust website.
