Shah Rukh Khan, often referred to as the 'Baadshah of Bollywood,' is a name that commands immense love, respect, and admiration from fans not just in India but around the world.

Unparalleled success, groundbreaking movies, and unwavering fandom have marked his journey from a common man to an iconic Bollywood superstar. Beyond his acting prowess, he is known for his charm, wit, and humility, which endear him to women from all walks of life. In a world where celebrities often come and go, Shah Rukh Khan's enduring popularity among women is a testament to his deep connection with his audience.

Growing up watching Shah Rukh Khan's iconic movies, the chance to finally see him on the silver screen became a cherished reality for his fans in Bangladesh.

When 'Pathan' made its long-awaited debut in Bangladesh, we seized the opportunity to be part of the first-day, first-show audience. The theatre buzzed with excitement, including audiences of all ages into a shared experience filled with cheers, applause, and enthusiastic whistles.

The vibrant and exuberant crowd in the theatre transformed 'Pathan' into an unforgettable cinematic journey, rekindling the enchantment that comes to light when a beloved actor meets an ardent audience.

The energy was infectious, and as Shah Rukh graced the screen with his charismatic presence, the entire crowd came alive, dancing and grooving to his every move.
The magic of cinema was very much alive that day, and the memory remains etched in the hearts of all of us who were part of this thrilling cinematic experience.

Such was also the case in 'Jawan' when Shah Rukh's stunning performance took the theatres by storm. With every appearance of Vikram Rathore and Azad, the overjoyed crowd delved into the euphoric celebration of the King.

'Jawan' and 'Pathan' are the recent testaments of Khan's magnetic presence. However, his journey to stardom began in the 1980s through his television debut with the series 'Fauji.' This was the start of a remarkable career after which Khan never had to look back.

His cinema career later went on to flourish through iconic characters such as 'Raj' from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Rahul' in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hain', 'Major Ram' from 'Main Hoon Na', 'Aman' in 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and 'Rizwan' in 'My Name is Khan'. Each of these roles is like an old friend, reminding us of the moments we have shared and the emotions we have felt.

The 2000s kids cannot help but revere these iconic characters of Shah Rukh, which made many of us hopeless romantics. However, one character which will forever be etched in the memory will be that of 'Dr. Jehangir Khan’ from ‘Dear Zindagi’.

Movies like 'Dear Zindagi' breathed life back into Bollywood, finally portraying realistic characters and stories to relate to. Every other night, when this writer needs to slide into her personal space and take a break from the hectic schedule, she watches 'Dear Zindagi' and feels better. Jug and his weird theories of life will certainly be remembered by those of us feeling vulnerable and lost today.

His movies remind us of the days when we would stay glued to the television only to watch him. Our teenage self would flutter every time we watched him spread his arms.
This writer remembers the countless times when she sat through entire award shows only to see this man perform on 'Chhaiyya Chhaiyya'. No one could play Major Ram, Aman, Dr. Jug, Veer, Kabir or Rizwan Khan as good as he did.

On the Anupam Kher show, he was asked whether he fears losing his stardom, to which he famously replied, 'I'm the last of the stars.'

And he is. The entire film fraternity might be looking forward to many other fresh faces. Still, there can never be another Shah Rukh Khan who has not just been a cinematic icon but also a symbol of the magic of Bollywood.
