Two of the most popular and accessible mediums are movies and music. Both have the power to transport us to different worlds, evoke emotions, and provide a much-needed escape from reality. We relate our life experiences through them. Sometimes, we tend to find an escape from our daily routine, failures, and memories through movies and music. Which one is better than that, if we ask? Would there be any particular answer to that? No. However, we may learn what these mediums can offer to try an escape from our daily lives.

Music

Music has an unparalleled ability to connect with our souls on a deep level. A melody can evoke a whirlwind of emotions, from euphoria to melancholia.

Studies have shown that music can reduce stress, improve mood, and even enhance cognitive function. It's a personal and intimate experience tailored to individual tastes and preferences, inviting us to explore our emotional landscapes.

I can remember a time when I used to spend my whole day until midnight listening to songs like Obak Valobasha, Nila, Tomakei Bole Debo, Borne Gondhe Chhode Geetite, November Rain, One Love, Wind of Change, Smells like Teen Spirit, instrumental like Vivaldi Winter, and many, many more.

I couldn't help but be tempted to write more song names! Still, while I'm doing my household work, I keep the speaker on and keep playing songs randomly.

Movie

Movies are a visual and auditory feast, offering a more immersive experience than music. They combine visuals, sound, and storytelling to create a captivating world that can transport us to distant lands, introduce us to fascinating characters, and teach us valuable lessons.

A well-crafted film cannot only entertain but also provoke thought, inspire change, and even spark social movements. The shared experience of watching a movie with others can also foster a sense of community and connection.

I find movies to be a great escape. One day, feeling frustrated, I decided to avoid that negativity and start a movie. Cinema like '"Be with You,' a Korean movie, is a treat to watch.

The experience was transformative, turning my frustration into positive thinking and inspiring me to see things from a different perspective.

Ultimately, the choice between movies and music is a personal one.

It depends on individual preferences and the specific needs of the moment. Some find peace in a song's lyrical depths, while others prefer the visual storytelling of a film.

Many also enjoy the synergy between the two, with movie soundtracks often becoming iconic in their own right. It's essential to recognize that both movies and music offer unique benefits.

They can serve as sources of inspiration, relaxation, and emotional catharsis. The key is to find the right balance between the two and to appreciate the power of each medium to enrich our lives.

What do you prefer? Movies or music? Your choice is valid and essential. So, the next time you're seeking an escape, you can also indulge in both.
