Bangladesh’s music scene has found a new favorite in fingerstyle guitarist, music director, and singer Antu Dash. The talented musician has been quietly shaping his place in the industry with hard work, passion, and unwavering dedication.

Known in his childhood as a calm and introverted boy, Antu was drawn to music long before he could understand its complexities. While others his age were busy playing, he spent hours listening, absorbing, and dreaming of melodies.

His musical journey began in 2007, and it wasn’t an easy path. Many around him doubted his choice, insisting there was no future in music. But Antu refused to give up. With relentless determination, he proved that talent combined with perseverance can make anything possible. At one point, he practiced up to 14 hours a day, sometimes without even eating, driven solely by his belief in his craft.

Antu stepped into Dhaka’s professional music circuit in 2017. Starting slowly, he began working with established music directors and soon found his unique guitar tones featured in songs by some of the country’s most popular artists. As his reputation grew, so did his list of contributions.
His guitar work in “Chand Mama” from Shakib Khan’s film Borbaad, composed by Pritom Hasan, drew widespread attention. He also played for the Webfilm Network’s “Network-er Baire Bondhu”. Over the years, he has worked on hundreds of tracks, collaborating with prominent musicians across Bangladesh.
In 2020, Antu’s folk-fusion rendition of “Ami Tomay Valobashi, Jogote Hoiyachi Doshi” went viral, earning love from millions. His original track “Mondo Hotona” was featured in the Chorki web film Ghumpori in 2025, further cementing his growing popularity.

Antu has also recorded with legendary artists such as Runa Laila, Fahmida Nabi, and West Bengal’s celebrated singer Nachiketa. His long-term collaborations include working with Joy Shahriar, Pritom Hasan, Pathik Hasan, Minar Rahman, and the band Avash.

Today, he is sharing the stage with one of the country’s most iconic musicians, composer, and music director Habib Wahid—a milestone that speaks volumes about his rising success.

Excitement is already building among fans, as Antu is reportedly gearing up to release his debut solo album “Shunnosthan” very soon. With his unique style and heartfelt connection to music, anticipation is high that this album will mark another major turning point in his career.

From a quiet boy in Rangpur to one of the most talked-about young musicians in Bangladesh, Antu Dash is a name the entertainment world will be hearing a lot more of.
